What brings you joy? Why is that?
In what way should knowing Christ impact the way Christians look at and endure suffering? Why is that?
How do you think that suffering is an opportunity to prove you faith is real? Do you think that is true? How does it work?
Peter says in verses 8 and 9, “Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” What does he mean by that? In what way are Christians “obtaining the outcome” of their faith as they endure suffering?
Do you find Peter’s words to these persecuted Christians encouraging to you? Explain.
What challenges or struggles do you face because of your trust in Jesus Christ? How can you rejoice in the midst of them?
