What is striking to you about Paul’s description of himself as a “slave” and “apostle”? What do these terms tell us about Paul’s view of his calling?
What does the word “gospel” mean? Is it significant that Paul refers to it as “the gospel of God”? Why?
According to what Paul says here, why is the Old Testament so important? Does it have any significance for you?
What do verses 3-4 say about the double identity of Jesus? How does what Paul says shed light on these two aspects? Why are they both important?
How would you life be different without the gospel of God?
